Who We Are
President of the Sikh Forum International.
Late. General Jagjit Singh Aurora, Ex. MP of Rajya Sabha, PVSM, Padma Bhushan, and Liberator of Bangladesh joined hands with Ranjit Singh and established Sikh Forum International in 1986 with the help of other like-minded Sikhs under patronage of Lord John Stevens QPM and A.S. Dassan. Before forming the Forum, General Aurora was an active member of the Civil Justice Commission and was the victim of the 1984 Sikh massacre, which was attacked and killed by a mob led by the Parliamentary Party provided free support. In New Delhi, Prime Minister Indira Gandhi was organized after being assassinated by a bodyguard.
The Sikh Forum International while planning its objectives got inspiration from the teachings of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji and the successor Gurus embodied in Guru Granth Sahib Ji. The Founder of this Forum is Ranjit Singh OBE, who is professionally an Electrical Engineer and had later on established RK Group companies.

The Co-Founder of this Forum is Late. Gen. Jagjit Singh Aurora who had participated in 1971 war against Pakistan and on 16th December 1971, Lt. Gen A.A.K. Niazi, Commanding Officer of Pakistan Armed Forces in East Pakistan signed the instrument of surrender in his presence.

The Co-Founder of this Forum is Late. Gen. Jagjit Singh Aurora who had participated in 1971 war against Pakistan and on 16 December 1971, Lt. Gen A.A.K. Niazi, Commanding Officer of Pakistan Armed Forces in East Pakistan signed the instrument of surrender in his presence.
At the time of General Aurora’s death on 3 May 2005, Mr. Morshed Khan, the Bangladeshi Foreign Minister, stated: “Aurora will be remembered in the history of Bangladesh for his contribution during our war of liberation; in 1971 when he led the allied forces.”

What We do
For the last 31 years, the Forum has been honoring the Sikhs who could be role models of Sikhi by giving the “Sikh Of the Year Award”. Besides that, the platform has liberally contributed to the Great Ormond Street Hospital for the sick children in London, British Army, and the Prince’s Trust.
Besides that Forum has encouraged Sikh Youths to join the British Army, Navy, Air Force, and the British Police Forces in service of their country.
The Forum is well known in Britain and India for its charitable, social, and religious activities. It maintains links with other bodies in the USA, Canada, and Europe.
The Forum plays an active role in making Britain a Role Model of a multi-cultural and multi-faith society. It is committed to supporting the Government’s diversity initiative and is always looking to get involved and do more.
